For performers in all genres, I teach singing AND acting techniques, and specialize in integrating the two — so you can fully and freely express yourself with all of your heart and soul!

My students include a wide variety of performers across many genres: musical theater, opera, and acting for the stage, film and television. Some perform in major theaters or opera houses, on Broadway or in national tours or regional companies; some are returning to performing after a hiatus; others are crossing over from other disciplines such as dance; and some are motivated beginners starting to prepare for college and a career. I love the variety of working with singers and actors at all levels of their varying journeys. I have had particular success in the following areas:

• Voice training — Singers seeking healthy, solid vocal technique (musical theater, classical, pop mix)
• Crossover Training — Classical singers who want to sing musical theater repertoire and style
• Acting for Singers — Singers who want to learn to act and/or get stage direction for songs and arias

Debra Wiley is a singing voice specialist AND an internationally acclaimed acting teacher, performance coach, and stage director. She specializes in helping the performer integrate singing and acting. (M.A., NYU in both Acting and Vocal Performance). Debra teaches ongoing master classes in Europe and has taught and directed performers in the U.S. at institutions that include The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes College of Music, New York University, Marymount Manhattan College, Harlem School of the Arts, Henry Street Settlement, the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University, and the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute (20 years). She has directed plays and numerous classical recitals (with groups and individual performers). Recent master classes, seminars and residencies include The Danish Actors Union, Operafest, Songfest, The Danish State Theater School, Screen Actors Guild (Conservatory), American Federation of Television and Radio (AFTRA@Work), Chamber Music America, NYU Steinhardt, the Mannes College of Music and Disney Theatrical Productions.
